In September 1998, the Bronx Health Link, Inc. hosted an all day retreat, where over seventy (70) participants assisted in the prioritization of health issues in the Bronx. The identified priorities were:

Four Subcommittees were formed to address each area. Over the course of 1999 to 2001, all Subcommittees completed the project implementation phase and continued to meet on a monthly basis to continue identifying new avenues to improve the delivery of services to the Bronx community. The Subcommittee Members were comprised of representatives from a wide scope of social, legal and health care service providers.
