Paulette Spencer
Maternal Infant Health Program Coordinator
Paulette Spencer is TBHL's Project Coordinator for the Healthy Mom, Healthy Baby (prenatal and postpartum) Initiative. Ms. Spencer comes to the TBHL with 17 years of experience working for the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), where she assisted physicians specializing in global immunization programs and neonatal and maternal survival. She also worked with development economists specializing in social policy formation. Ms. Spencer holds a Masters Degree in Global Public Health from New York University. She also holds a Masters of Arts degree from Fordham University in International Political Economy and Development.
Robert Lederer
Researcher and Policy Analyst
Robert Lederer is TBHL's Researcher and Policy Analyst. He conducts research and does writing for reports about the health status of Bronx residents. He also works with other staff to develop policy recommendations and carry out advocacy efforts to improve and expand government and community health programs. Mr. Lederer has worked as a public health journalist, advocate and activist for more than 20 years. He was formerly a Senior Editor at POZ (the national magazine about HIV/AIDS), a longtime volunteer project coordinator with ACT UP (AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power), and a co-founder of Health GAP (Global Access Project).
Esperanza De Los Santos
Community Health Educator/Certified Lactation Counselor
As TBHL's Community Health Educator and Certified Lactation Counselor, Esperanza De Los Santos conducts workshops on many health topics, specializing in maternal and infant health. She also participates on behalf of TBHL in the Bronx Breastfeeding Committee and the Association of Perinatal Networks. Previously Ms. De Los Santos worked for four years at Aspira, a nonprofit educational agency, where she served as Program Coordinator of the Educational Achievement Program, a dropout prevention project.
Luisa Solis
Senior Project Associate
Luisa Solis is TBHL's Senior Project Associate. She coordinates TBHL's peer education programs. She also provides technical assistance for community-based organizations under the Infant Mortality Reduction Initiative and manages TBHL's health education calendar, including its community workshops on a broad array of health topics. Previously, she also coordinated TBHL's Cribs for Kids program. She has been trained in breastfeeding education.
Francisco "Paco" Martin Del Campo
Community Health Educator
Francisco "Paco" Martin del Campo is one of TBHL's Health Educators. In 2011 he received his B.A. in U.S. History and Anthropology from Columbia University, where he also studied public health. Before joining TBHL, Mr. Martin del Campo worked as a mentor in an elementary after-school program in his hometown of Oakland, CA, and as an outreach supervisor at a San Francisco youth services organization. While at Columbia, he organized around social justice issues, such as the university's expansion plans, immigrant rights, and the right to health care.
Evelyn Aguirre
DOOLAS / CHA Health Educator
Evelyn Aguirre is currently a senior at CUNY Lehman college and is conducting her internship at the Bronx Health Link. She is on track to recieve a Bachelor's degree in Health Education and Promotion. She comes into TBHL with cetifications in CPR for adults, children and infants as well as a certification in child care first aid from the American Red Cross. Ms. Aguirre also holds a license as a Day Care provider from the New York State Office of Children and Family Services. She previously volunteered at St. Barnabas Rehabilitation and Continuing Care Center as a Recreational Therapist.
Devon Hallman
Bookkeeper/Human Resource Administrator
Devon Hallman is TBHL's Bookkeeper and Human Resource Administrator. Ms. Hallman is responsible for payroll and other fiscal tasks. She came to TBHL with 9 years of experience as a bookkeeper, including at the Harlem YMCA and Leggett Daycare.
Noel B. Marrero
Project Associate
Noel Marrero, Project Associate, is eager to share his talents and knowledge with the TBHL family in his first venture into the public health field. He recently graduated from CUNY Hunter College, where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences. Mr. Marrero currently edits the agency's daily e-newsletter, as well as coordinates the agencies Resource Center Initiative. Prior to his involvement with TBHL, Mr. Marrero worked for the City Parks Foundation for three years as a children's tennis coach. His plans for the future include developing his skills in community health, specializing in nutrition. He aspires to become a Registered Dietitian.
Corinne Cucchiara
Administrative Assistant
Corinne Cucchiara is the Administrative Assistant for the Bronx Health Link. Ms. Cucchiara comes to TBHL with over 15 years of administrative experience. She has worked for the New York City Transit Authority as a timekeeper/administrative associate and also for the Veteran Affairs Medical Center as secretary to the Associate Chief of Staff. She is responsible for administrative support to all the TBHL programs.
