A Survey on Environmental Health Issues in the Bronx

Download file (242KB application/pdf)

This is a report on a Bronx Health Link survey finding that Bronxites are highly concerned about the level of pollution in their borough and have many ideas about needed environmental actions, according to a survey released today by The Bronx Health Link, a non-profit health research, education and advocacy agency. The survey, done in the summer of 2010, asked 200 Bronx residents and workers about their environmental knowledge, attitudes, and suggestions. The findings come against a backdrop of growing evidence that environmental exposures – including air pollution, pesticides, chemicals in household products, and lead – have a damaging effect on community health in the Bronx.
