Community Health Advocates (CHA) helps consumers, communities, and social service organizations to navigate New York's healthcare systems and services. As part of the CHA program, The Bronx Health Link will come to your organization (in the Bronx only) to give free presentations (in English or Spanish) for staff and consumers about people's rights and options for health coverage. Included will be information about eligibility, enrollment, and covered services for:
- Medicaid
- Medicare
- Family Health Plus
- Child Health Plus
- HHC Options
- other public insurance programs
- private insurance policies.
Other topics covered will be:
- how to get low-cost services and prescriptions
- how to choose a managed care plan for Medicaid or Medicare
- which programs undocumented immigrants are eligible for
