Perinatal Information Network (PIN)

The Bronx Perinatal Information Network (PIN), a project of The Bronx Health Link, is funded by the New York State Department of Health, Bureau of Women's Health. It is part of the statewide Comprehensive Prenatal-Perinatal Services Network Program (CPPSN) established in 1987. The Perinatal Information Networks are primarily community-based organizations whose mission is to organize the local service system to improve perinatal health.

Mission:

The mission of the Bronx PIN is to identify and organize information about the healthcare and social services system in the Bronx in order to improve the prenatal and perinatal health of women, their children, and their families.

Activities:

Among the activities carried out by The Bronx Health Link through the Bronx PIN are the following:

  • Providing educational workshops on maternal and child health to community residents.
  • Publishing and distributing an annual Resource Guide titled Healthy Beginnings: Services for Parents and Babies in the Bronx
  • Providing training on maternal and child health to health and human service providers in the Bronx.
  • Providing information on maternal and infant health through the e-newsletter.
