The Bronx Health Link, Inc. (TBHL) is a nonprofit, Bronx-wide network of service providers, agencies, community organizations, and residents.
One important way that you can help us sustain our work is by volunteering for our programs. We offer the following volunteer opportunities:
1. Consumer Advisory Group (CAG). TBHL's Perinatal Information Network is looking for women's voices in the Bronx to join the CAG (more details here). If you:
- live in the Bronx,
- want to help us improve health services in your community, and
- would like to share your opinions about things women face,
this is your chance to make a difference. For information about applying to become a CAG member, email Luisa Solis at lsolis@bronxhealthlink.org.
2. Bronx Community Research Review Board (BxCRRB). For this project (more details here), we are recruiting Bronx residents who are interested in advocating for their community and educating others about what research is and how it can benefit the Bronx.
As a member of the Bronx Community Research Review Board Project, you will become involved in:
- A series of training sessions on research – what it is, how it is done, why it is important for the community to be involved in research
- Building links between researchers and the Bronx Community.
3. Student internships. Undergraduate and graduate students can play an important role in assisting TBHL's research, writing, and community and online outreach and health promotion programs. At the same time, they can develop important skills. For information about internships, email info@bronxhealthlink.org.
